Satellite Beach is a semi small coastal city made up of four essential neighborhoods. It’s a nautical area with a touch of ocean, tidal bodies, inlets and bays. There is even a somewhat historical hint to the town. Located in the beautiful Brevard County, Satellite beach is a quant suburban community with an approximate population of 10,172. Satellite Beach was originally mangrove swamps and home to a variety of wildlife species. Laying on the border of the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River, this city is a thriving community. Offering a wonderful array of events, activities and great locations to have fun in and to create amazing memories in. From an exciting nightlife and the breathtaking beaches to restaurants that will please any pallet and some featuring live bands. Satellite beach plays host to several parks, recreational areas, clubs and a diverse population.
Here’s a small taste of what Satellite Beach has to offer:
•Farmer's Market: every Thursday at Pelican Beach Park come out and enjoy the farmer’s market. Visit the vendors and their booths filled with: certified organics, herbs, plants, dips, baked goods, jellies, local art, handmade jewelry and photography. But that’s not all, they also have soaps, potpourri, candles and a variety of new vendors all the time.
•Lion’s Club Car Show: this will be the Satellite Beach’s Lion Club’s 4th annual car show. Fun for the whole family, come on out and check out these beautiful cars.
•Jazz in the Park: come out kick back and relax, this event is a perfect family afternoon of jazz. The park pavilions provide plenty of cover and seating but you are more than welcoming to bring your own blankets and chairs. Local food truck vendors will be onsite!
•Patrick Air Force Base Tours: these group tours are tailored to you and your group’s interest. Submit a form, schedule a date and then come out and enjoy your 40-50 minute visit.
•The Liberty Bell Museum: come out and visit this educational resource and learn about national, state and local history. Come throughout the year and join in on some of the Museums events such as: Memorial Day Ceremony Flag Day, Ceremony Patriot Awards Dinner, Independence Day Parade, The Firecracker 5K, Veterans Day Parade, Military Band Concerts Special occasion events and displays.
Hightower Beach Park: this charming public beach side park features a boardwalk pristine for fishing, public restrooms and outdoor rinsing showers. The park also has a picnic pavilion, two observation pavilions and a beach crossover.
Oars & Paddles Park: nestled on the shore of the Banana River and diligently maintained by Brevard County. This unique park has a floating launch dock, for non-motorized recreational water-based activities such as canoeing, rowing, and paddling. The facility also includes a small pavilion, restrooms, parking, and boat house and picnic tables.
Pelican Beach Park: 74 acres of Public Park beautifully maintained by the city of Satellite Beach. The facility has four pavilions, public fresh water showers, restrooms, playground, volleyball courts and dune crossovers.
Satellite Beach Skate Park: 13,000 Sq. Feet of beach side Skate Park, open to the public. The park facilitates skateboarding and in-line skating as well as quad skating.
Satellite Beach Dog Park: this off Leash Park is a fun place for your furry friend to run wild. In 1 ½ acres of shaded areas, benches, dog toys and drinking water. There are even plastic swimming pools provided that give the dogs a quick way to cool off from the sun.
