Coldwell Banker, Ed Schlitt Realtors sponsored The Mandarin Restaurant at “Taste of Vero” on Ocean Drive on October 12, 2011, and won an award for Best Themed Booth..  This event featured nineteen local restaurants offering samplings of their sumptuous fare.  A portion of the proceeds benefited the Children’s Home Society.   There were over 250 tickets sold and despite the rain and wind there was an excellent turnout demonstrating the heart of Vero Beach.

Linda Schlitt Gonzalez congratulated Chase Mariposa, Patricia Zangre Cappello & Dustin Haynes for winning the BEST THEMED BOOTH AWARD and gave a special thanks to Joey & Winncy Schlitt who provided the food from The Mandarin.

The Mandarin served a Crunchy Salmon Roll, Mushu chicken, Egg and Springs Rolls and Vegetable Fried Rice. The food was a hit and especially popular was the Salmon Roll which was a tempura battered sushi roll with Salmon and Cream Cheese which was deep fried! The Mandarin offers Authentic Cantonese food as well as a great variety of Sushi and some Thai food.  The Mandarin is open for lunch, dinner or takeout.  www.themandarinvero.com
